Well, the decision was a no-brainer... Angelia (femme), Gail (Boomer) and I (mar) all gave this 'logo idea' from Mike (mckbirdbooks) a 2 thumbs up!

It was less than a week ago that Angelia asked Mike to think about the idea of making us a logo.  We are all drawn to the Tree of Life as a symbol of our endeavors with the Mysterious and Miraculous Book Series project.

For me, the first try was a charm.  Seeing this logo, my eyes filled with tears and I knew that some powerful divine forces were smiling down on our efforts.  I feel hope, inspiration and validation when I look proudly at our logo.

As for Gail:  "Wow...I love it, too!  I've never seen anything quite like it and even the background is amazing!  Captain Mike's artistic ability is awesome and seeing this new logo is an exciting moment.  I could feel the legacy we're all trying to create."

And the unanimous came through with a resounding:  "Isn't it awesome???? I sooooooo LOVE it!!!" from Angelia.

Our Captain Mike did an awesome job!

And, don't ya know about the time I got the logo situated, I got consent from him to use another piece of his work, a painting dating back to the 1060s, to use as the blog header.

I LOVED it and it is nearly identical to asking for a design I described that I'd like to have as a small thumbnail icon to go in front of each of the Legacy Scribes and Story Tellers profile data sections in the book. :)

I think it turned out to be the perfect piece. :)

Thanks again to Mike Friedman of Mockingbird Books!

Thanks, Kimmie and Sha...I am so pleased you like our logo as well.

Oh my, femme, a slip of a key can make us so much older...I think we are looking at the 1960s, when Mike was a toddler (LOL)!

Maria, you did a wonderful job articulating how we all felt when we first saw the incredible Legacy Archives Foundation logo that Mike designed. Now he's also given us the stunningly beautiful quill pen painting icon and seeing them together on this page filled me with joy and gratitude for his generosity of spirit and for sharing his artistic talents.
Love & Hugs,
Gail

Nice to meet you too marcoujar-This is such an exciting venture. You are all doing such a great job on this intriguing book. I can't get enough of these paranormal stories. I'm working on getting a press release out in my town of Minnetonka, Minnesota. I want to help spread the word on a great book and non-profit. Will let you all know how it's going. Thanks again for letting me be a part of Book II.

Way to go all of you! Sometime back it was pointed out to me that the "peace sign" might just be upside down, denoting negativity, into the ground. Right side up it becomes of course the Tree of Life. Y'all couldn't have picked a finer logo and Captain Mike's illustration has all the right ingredients for a righteous whole!

An beautiful tree, full of color and constantly growing, with loads of roots, branches, leaves and even a few fruits hanging on it here and there.

Works for me.

I'm rather fond of fruit trees! :D
